There are so many ways to help out

Rescue Team
Fostering and Adoptions

Twin Meadows Animal Rescue has no paid staff nor any physical facilities to house rescued animals. The volunteer rescue team does everything from animal intake, arranging vet appointments, recruiting fosters, placing animals in temporary homes and finally finding the perfect forever home. This process is very time consuming and emotional - but also very rewarding.

Rescue Team Help

TMARS needs help within this team.

  • Contacting fosters for immediate placement of rescued animals at a moment's notice

  • Contacting potential fosters and adopters who have applied to help out

  • Facilitating meet and greets and home trials

  • Liaising with the Foster / Adoption Directors

Fundraising Team
Volunteer Opportunities

We've had a very successful first half of 2023 with our volunteer fundraising opportunities: The Fernie Legion donated $1,000, Elk Valley Thrift Store donated $2,500 and our bottle drives and collection continues to generate over $1,000/month. Thanks to Ron and Kim Lentz, Tami, Sharon S, Rebecca, Lori, Ashley, Sharon Q, Michele, Gwyn and Andrew!

Here's how you can help:

1. MEAT DRAWS at the FERNIE LEGION

We need volunteers 3:30 pm - 5:15 pm to sell the raffle tickets on Saturday afternoons: October 7, 14, November 4, 18 and December 2 .  Please contact the fundraising team to sign up:  fundraising@twinmeadowsanimalrescue.org.

Thanks to the Fernie Legion for providing this amazing opportunity.

2. BOTTLE & CAN DROP OFF

Donate your empties to raise funds for TMARS! Our amazing volunteers Ron & Kim sort the bottles and take them to the Transfer Station.

Drop off in Fernie at 962 - 10 Ave in the Annex
