Meet Moose!
 
Moose is a 1 year 9 month old, 90 lb Great Pyrenees, husky and lab cross sweetheart who is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. A little shy at first, he warms up quickly and becomes a total cuddle bug, always seeking attention and fuss. He’s devoted, loves kids, enjoys another furry friend, and doesn’t mind cats.
 
Moose loves his toys, knows sit, lay down, and “go on your bed,” and would thrive in a home with a secure yard—he doesn’t do well tied up. He likes patrolling the fenceline and and, like any pyranese, likes to check out everything nearby to make sure his people are safe... In fact, he is so smart and wanting to protect the neighbourhood that we have attached a video of him removing a padlock and then unlatching the gate to see what is going on in the neighbourhood!
 
His ideal home would have someone who is around often to continue working with him in his training. He needs plenty of yard space in a fenced yard, and possibly another confident dog as a companion. He’s clever, curious, and just needs gentle introductions to new people—he may be a bit unsure around men at first but warms up with patience. Leash skills are improving and can be continued in his new home.
 
His foster is happy to support a smooth transition and pass along training so Moose can keep learning and thriving. With love and patience, Moose will be a loyal and affectionate companion for life!
