Poor Camo is the last Papillon left of 12 who found their way into our care from a hoarding situation. He came in with no trust to people and was biting out of fear. He is currently in foster care rehabilitating, so he can have a successful future when he is ready to be adopted.

Camo needs a well-balanced confident dog to show him the way. He takes their lead first. He is also great with cats. Camo is pee pad trained. He has not experienced a leash or even the outdoors yet, as he is still working on being comfortable in a smaller space. He’s most comfortable staying put in one room at the moment, though he is afraid of loud noises and sudden movements.

Camo will likely never be a lap dog but we are not willing to write that off yet. He has come a long way in the two short months he has been with us. He can often (finally) be petted now and is learning to like it. He likes to lick hands and must be touching a humans leg on the bed at night.

Camo will need someone very experienced with helping shut down dogs. All interactions must be positive gentle and on his terms. He’s very smart and very trainable we believe.

He is currently in foster care and is not currently ready to be adopted out. We will post an update when he is available for adoption.
